Newsletter n.7 - MEDRESET, January 2019
MEDRESET is a consortium of research and academic institutions focusing on different disciplines from the Mediterranean region to develop alternative visions for a new Mediterranean partnership and corresponding EU policies. It aims at designing an inclusive, flexible, and responsive future role for the EU in the region based on the multiple perspectives of local and bottom-up actors. In the framework of the MEDRESET project, WP6 aims at evaluating the effectiveness and potential of EU policies and measures in industry and energy (including trade liberalization, broader energy policies, energy transition, renewable energy programmes, and industrial cooperation initiatives) in light of the interests, needs, and expectations of different bottom-up actors on both shores of the Mediterranean, with the purpose of identifying, inclusive, responsive and flexible policy actions to reinvigorate EU-Mediterranean relations.
In this newsletter, we have gathered four Working Papers on Industry where we analyse, with a bottom-up perspective, the European policies towards the Southern Mediterranean countries.
